Duplex Wire Type Image Quality Indicator (IQI)

A Duplex Wire Type Image Quality Indicator (IQI) is used in digital radiography and computed radiography to evaluate image quality and determine basic spatial resolution. It consists of pairs of high-density wires arranged with progressively decreasing spacing. When radiographed, the number of distinguishable wire pairs provides a practical indication of the imaging system’s ability to resolve fine detail.

Duplex wire IQIs are commonly used for system qualification, image quality verification, and performance monitoring in industrial radiographic testing. Suitable for use in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) applications involving digital and computed radiography.
